About Me

The human behind the code

# My Story

I’ve been into technology for most of my life — I started coding at 12 and never really stopped. That curiosity turned into a career where I’ve done a little bit of everything, from scrappy startup builds to large-scale systems at some of the biggest companies in the world. These days, I lead a team of developers at a Fortune 100 company, working on production systems that people rely on every day — the kind that move millions (and sometimes billions) and simply can’t afford to go down.

## What drives me

Over the years, I’ve worn a lot of hats: migrating systems from one language to another, building data pipelines, training machine learning models, and figuring things out as I go. But the part I enjoy the most isn’t just the tech — it’s helping other people grow. That’s what pulled me from being “just a developer” into leading teams and mentoring others.

I’ve been working fully remote for more than a decade, long before it was the norm. For me, remote work works because it’s all about outcomes, not hours in a chair. It’s also given me the freedom to travel: I’ve visited every continent, lived abroad for a while, and eventually decided to root myself back in sunny Brazil, where I live today.

## Beyond the terminal

Outside of work, I’m a drummer, a gamer, a music lover, and a geek at heart. I speak multiple languages, I’m a Mensa associate, and — most importantly — I’m the dad of a little boy who completely changed the way I look at the future. I don’t just want to make things better for myself; I want to help build a better world for him. And that shapes how I treat people too — I treat others the way I’d want the world to treat my son: with kindness, respect, and care.
